Dr. Nelson grew up just south of Buffalo in Lakewood, NY. There he graduated from Southwestern High school in 2008. Following graduation, Dr. Nelson moved to Buffalo to pursue a degree in exercise science at the University at Buffalo.

While at school he completed a residency at Buffalo Cardiology where he worked as an exercise physiology intern, aiding patients in improving their cardiac health. He graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo in 2012. Following graduation Dr. Nelson became a certified Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine.

For his post graduate work Dr. Nelson went to New York Chiropractic College where he graduated in 2016. While at NYCC Dr. Nelson focused on combining chiropractic with rehabilitation in order to give his patients more individualized care. By incorporating manual muscle therapy, Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, and strength/exercise rehabilitation to his tool bag he has been able too reach more patients. He has worked as an associate chiropractor for two years before opening Tonawanda Chiropractic and Rehabilitation, where patient interactions have helped him become the chiropractor he is today.

In his free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys doing anything outdoors. He is an avid hunter and spends every free moment that he has wandering the woods. When he isn’t allowed to be in the woods, he spends his time on the golf course trying to perfect his golf swing. As well he enjoys taking his two bernese mountain dogs to the park, going on walks to local coffee shops, and working on home projects.
